In this bonus episode, Lauren and Jon talk about the Holy Wisdom icon, an illustration from the Stammheim Missal (12th C.) that we used to end each episode in the series. We reflect on the individual figures in the icon, as well as some personal meaning that the art evoked for each of us. Lovely! Great Icon! I prayed for Wisdom and your series popped up! Same Day!
Sally, so glad that we have found each other. The Spirit of Holy Wisdom is so amazing and always, always on time. Thanks for your wonderful comment.
I was very surprised that wisdoms came first before God created the world.
He sat in motion his plans of everything that we know of our world and ourself.
I was also amaze that we was born with wisdom.
In our daily life we are confronted at times to make decisions not knowing
that God gave us the tools to make wise one or one not so wise.
If that was the case he also gave us the wisdom to make amends and not repeat it again.
This was a interesting story.
Thank you both for opening up thoughts on wisdom.
🙏 Josie
I so appreciated the reminder of the invincibility of wisdom, her light cannot be darkened. Mother Earth knows this to be true, her seasons continue. I think about this resilience when I garden and watch a little insect march forward on their path with such certainty, wise to the ever present. The Greek Orthodox liturgy includes a forceful call to parishioners, “Wisdom, let us attend!” Thank you for these beautiful beautiful meditations. I love them.
